Novatherm offers a high thermal efficiency option for PowerFlex eVoFlex boilers which raises the efficiency up to 85% for typical applications. The PowerFlex NanoFlex boilers provide an excellent standard efficiency of 83%. Most conventional boilers provide a maximum efficiency of only 80%.
Other manufacturers may promise higher efficiencies, but conditional to non-standard operating conditions. The PowerFlex Series boilers are the only products to achieve such high efficiency with a standard supply water temperature of 180°F and an operating pressure above 100 psig.
This high efficiency has a significant impact on operating costs. On a 200 HP, gas-fired boiler in daily operation, a 5% gain in efficiency can generate fuel cost savings of over $25,000 annually, depending on the application.
In addition to providing high-efficiency boilers, Novatherm can increase the overall efficiency of your facility by installing state-of-the-art equipment, generating even greater savings.
Novatherm boilers use modulating burners that allow the operating range to be increased so that short-cycling can be avoided, reducing losses related to purging the burner. Micro-modulation option
is also available and strongly recommended to reduce the amount of excess air required by
combustion, as high excess air reduces boiler efficiency.
We also offer burners that can meet low emission standards without using exhaust flue gas recirculation (FGR) as used by many other manufacturers. FGR reduces the overall efficiency of the boiler.
Our boilers generally use less electricity than those of other manufacturers because the fans require less power.
Our boilers are known for producing very high quality dry steam. Wet steam results in additional costs due to supplementary water needs, additional energy losses resulting from the extra purges that are required and increased equipment maintenance.
Clearly, based on the total cost of ownership over the life cycle of the boiler, PowerFlex boilers deliver greater savings compared to other products.
